Ingalls Memorial Library Miscellaneous Services

A New service in 2009 was downloadable audiobooks.  You may download to an MP3 player or IPOD.  Please come in and get directions on how to do this.

Internet Access is provided free of charge. You must read and sign a policy before using our computers. You may call to reserve half-hour intervals for one of our six Internet computers or just drop by and take your chances. You may continue to use the computer after the half-hour time as long as no one else is waiting to use the computer. Internet service is available outside the Library in our parking lot after hours.

Inter-Library Loan: You may request items that our library does not own. We check with other libraries throughout the State of New Hampshire and try to locate your request and ask for the item to come to us. There is no fee for this service unless the item is lost or damaged or the lending library has a fee. Items may take one to two weeks to arrive and we can circulate the item for one month.

Photocopier: We have a photocopy machine for patron use. It is $.10 per page.

Fax Service:
Incoming fax is $$.25 per page
Outgoing Fax is $2.00 for the call and $1.00 per page.

Computers: We have eight computers available to the public with word processing and Internet service; five are located in the adult area and one in the children’s area. You may bring in disks to store information that you need to save but you may NOT save it on our machines. We do give simple computer instructions for those needing help, but because of limited staffing we cannot give in depth computer training.  Printed pages are $.25 per page for black & white and $1.00 per page for color.

Tax Time: The Library has tax forms and instructions. We also have a reproducible book of forms incase we run out out of free forms that you may reproduce at $.10 per page using our copy machine.  We also have NH State Tax forms.

The taxidermied bird and animal collection is located on the upper level of the library. The collection native to this region was donated through the generosity and under the will of Mary Lee Ware. It is quite a wonderful collection and many Rindge residents know of its existence because of school visits. Very steep stairs lead to the upper level but it’s worth the climb.

Museum Passes:  Through the generosity of the Friends of Ingalls Library we have passes to:

Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge Massachusetts. You may take two passes good for reduced-cost adult admissions(50% off admission for adults) good for daytime admission only. Children under the age of 3 are admitted free.  Open year round 7 days a week--except in winter, when they are closed on Mondays. This pass does not need to be returned to the library.
